Bad Blogger

I've decided that I'm really a bad blogger. I started this blog last year while I was preparing Addison's 1st Birthday party. Now she is 25 months old and I haven't blogged hardly anything. I know, I know. I must be a really bad blogger. I can say this though, Addison keeps me really busy and in the last year we have done a ton of things.

First of all, in June, Addison, Stacey and I went to stay with my mom in Clovis, NM. We had a lot of fun. We went to an archaeological dig site in New Mexico and toured the Black Water Draw museum. Then we went to tour the Norman and Vi Petty Recording Studio, which was really cool also. I had no idea that LeAnn Rimes had recorded her first album there, most notably "Blue". Then we went to the Clovis Zoo and had an amazing time there. They have tons of exotic animals, even a camel.

Then in July, we went back to Clarendon for the annual 4th of July Rodeo. Clarendon is always a great time, especially for Trent. He likes to stay out late, play golf and drink lots of beer. I always enjoy visiting with our families. I sure do miss them.

In November, Trent and I went on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico and had a fun time. We bought anything and everything. Bamboo sheets for our bed, color changing sunglasses and clothes, a couple of dresses, and had some beers at a local Corona Bar. We only got to spend 7 hours on the island, but it was a good 7 hours. We had actually planned a snorkeling trip with Rosie, but since our ship arrived an hr late and it took us an hr to get off the ship, then we missed our snorkeling trip.

December came around, and Addison got a visit from Santa Claus a week early. It's really hard to have Santa visit when you don't spend Christmas at home. One of these days, we will have to start having Christmas here in Arlington. Anyways, she got lots of goodies at Christmas. She got a kitchen from Trent and I; a tent from Grandy and Papa, My Pal Violet and a piggy bank from Pop and Nana, a new cabbage patch baby and pillows from Nanny and Mark and clothes and dress up shoes from Grandpa and Josie. All in all it was a great Christmas.

February 6, 2010 came around again and we celebrated Addison's 2nd Birthday. It's amazing how fast kids really do grow. She got enough clothes for her birthday, we shouldn't have to buy clothes until fall when it starts getting cold again. Grandpa and Nannie got Addie a swing set for the back yard, but it hasn't arrived yet. The first time it was ordered, it was returned to the shipper because it was damaged and the second time, only one box was damaged, but since it was coming from FedEx, they refused the box and so now we have to order the swing set again.

At the end of February, Nick, Ashley, Dan, Jason Lee, Trent and I went to Pagosa Springs, CO to go skiing at Wolf Creek. It was the best time I have ever had skiing. We brought beer so every day at lunch we would have a couple and then go back skiing. We have great pics from the trip. Here are a few:

We have a ton of things planned for the remainder of the year and hopefully they all will be a lot of fun. For more pictures, go to my Picasa web album to see pics from the last year. http://picasaweb.google.com/home?hl=en&tab=wq
